I bought this alarm as my old ones were 10yrs old and I couldn’t change the batteries and I needed to be sure family members would be safe if there was a fire or gas leak, thesei are great alarms so easy to set up and don’t look out of place, you don’t know they are there but when they are tested make a loud noise.

The items came together at a reasonable price & included batteries. Easy to fit although when the fire alarm is tested or it goes off (due to over cooked toast), once canceled for some reason it bleeps annoyingly every 30 seconds next few minutes, but once that stops it remains silent

I bought this secondary to my previous alarm not working. I thought the combination of CO2 detector and smoke alarm was a good idea. Both feel good quality and look nice on the wall/ceiling, being compact and neat. Both were easy to install and instructions were clear.

“ Your CO alarm can be wall or ceiling mounted.
Whether the alarm is wall-mounted or ceiling mounted, place the alarm a horizontal distance of between 1 metre and 3 metres from a fuel burning appliance
Please see recommended locations for CO alarms in the manual. ”

The Kidde 10 Year Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm has 2 x AA batteries for the carbon monoxide alarm and 1 x 9V battery for the smoke alarm.
