I highly recommend this product. My neighbour bought one, and let me borrow his for 24 hours to try it out. Afterwards, I said if Meaco gave everyone a lend of one for that time, they'd sell thousands! It's very effective, the operation of it is easy to understand, and when I had to phone the customer service line for some help registering the guarantee, the lady on the end of the phone was not only in the UK, but also helpfully did it all for me. I've noticed that regular use not only removes the required amount of water from the atmosphere, but also enables the heating to be on at a lower temperature, for a shorter time.

Good purchase dehumidifier
Purchased to help dry washing indoors and prevent damp in the house. Works brilliantly, washing dries quickly On wheels, so easy to manoeuvre around house. Easy to empty water and the machine will cut off when the tank is full Not too noisy

Solved our condensation problem!
We had a really bad problem in one particular room in our house with condensation on the inside of the windows every morning, even keeping the window open wasn't solving our problem. Initially we had the dehumidifier set to the default setting of 55, when you turn it on this is the automatic setting. However this wasn't collecting enough water so (after checking with AI!) I turned the setting down to 45. Within 24 hours the problem was solved! The dehumidifier collected a considerable amount of water over a period of 3 days and there is no longer condensation on the inside of the windows. After a few days I turned the dial to 50 and that seems to work well in this particular room. I haven't tried it on our landing or in a communal area but I'm sure it works just as well. When I first turned it on the fan did seem loud but that very quickly stops and on sleep mode I don't hear anything at all.

So good I bought another!
I bought one a year ago and have been using it upstairs and downstairs depending on our need but approaching winter I decided we could do with two in each area to help dry washing and keep the condensation at bay. I'm so happy with the product, I bought the same one. It's quiet enough that you don't notice it and really does help keep the internal air at a healthy humidity level.

I can advise that this dehumidifier is not designed to heat up the room, however the dried air is passed over heating coils before
it is blown into the room as part of the dehumidification process.

The water tank holds 2.5 litres, but the frequency it needs to be emptied will depend on the humidity of the room; For dry rooms, it will need to be emptied less often than humid rooms.
