Great machine
Brilliant machine removes so much moisture, a little bit noisy but not really an issue, easy to move around on wheels but too heavy to be carrying up and down stairs so I got the 20L one too to save me that hassle. No more wasting my money on moisture catchers and refills.

Great dehumidifier
Recently purchased this dehumidifier and was pleasantly surprised by the result.... Has made a huge difference to the humidity and takes lots of unwanted moisture from the air.

Easy to operate.
I am glad I bought this, it has taken a lot of humidity out of our bungalow and with the air purifier the rooms feel better. I emptied the water tank twice over four days but now the humidity lower and there isn't the need to empty so quickly. The water tanks easy to empty. The instruction could be in bigger text but it's still easy to understand. The settings on the top are easy to operate and you also get a H13 Hepa filter to start you off and easy to slip in at back next to the dust filter. It been very efficient and hardly need looking after, the night time mode is very quiet. There is a handle on the top of the machine for mobility and slots back in place when not needed.

Great choice!
Took me a week to choose which one to buy. Finally decided on this one. Very pleased with my choice. Excellent quality. My main concern was the noise and it is extremely quiet thank goodness! Extracted perfectly in dehumidifier mode. Washing dried out so much quicker plus easy to use and clean. Filtration on air purifier mode is fantastic which I honestly didn’t expect from a two in one model. Looks great and the wheels give easy mobility. Will be buying another one for the downstairs.

The product is highly efficient in dehumidifying a small house.

For purifying air it needs a hepa filter fitted. Note that it is optional and it will still work as a dehumidifier without. If the hepa filter is fitted it will purify and dehumidify at the same time. If you wish there is a function for just air purification. I believe this is with summer months in mind when dehumidifying is less of a need.

The instruction manual states: ''Replacing the HEPA filter.
The dehumidifier comes with a H13 HEPA filter. This HEPA filter can be inserted into the dehumidifier to enable air purification, however this is optional - the dehumidifier can be used without the HEPA filter, this means it will dehumidify the air only and not purify it.
Although we do highly recommend using the dehumidifier with a HEPA filter, if you would like a quieter unit, removing the HEPA filter will reduce the noise level by 4-5 decibels.
• The HEPA filter is not life-long and must be replaced when the colour changes from white to grey (it depends on the environment the dehumidifier is being used in but the HEPA filter will need replacing roughly every 3 months).
• The HEPA filter can be hoovered every so often to remove any dust or dirt.
• To insert/replace the HEPA filter place it inside the combined filter case and dust filter, then slide the combined filter case and dust filter into the dehumidifier.
• Replacement HEPA filters can be purchased from Meaco.''

"Assuming you are asking about the HEPA filter in the Meaco Arete One 12L Dehumidifier & Air Purifier, it is designed to retain 99.75% of particles as small as 0.3 micrometers in diameter. This includes common airborne impurities such as dust, pollen, pet dander, and other fine particles."

I can advise that this dehumidifier is not designed to heat up the room, however the dried air is passed over heating coils before
it is blown into the room as part of the dehumidification process.

Once it has reached the desired humidity it stops but the display stays on, it then re checks the humidity every 20 mins or so. So it doesnt continually run.

The water tank holds 2.5 litres, but the frequency it needs to be emptied will depend on the humidity of the room; For dry rooms, it will need to be emptied less often than humid rooms.
