does what it says
It extracts moisture from the air efficiently. A low level hum which doesn't disturb anybody. It is a bit heavy, but it doesn't really matter, as I don't need to move it around.

Really impressed!
So impressed by this dehumidifier! It’s so efficient , and particularly like the fact the water doesn’t spill everywhere when you take out the tank like other cheaper models do. It’s really portable and surprisingly light

It does what is says, reducing the moisture vonten
I had been suffering condensation problems on my boat. It solved the problem quickly. Within 3 hours it had removed 4 to 5 litres of water from the atmosphere. The following morning there was no condensation on the windows. It helped do the final drying of some washing, better that using heat. The fan is quiet even on the higher speed. The ability to fit a hose to drain the water rather than using the large tank means I can leave it running on shore power when I leave the boat and know this will reduce the chance for mould to start. To stop the unit moving, I removed the 4 casters. It is substantially made with east to use control panel. You can leave it on automatic the reduce the moisture level to 55% or you can set it manually to as low as 40%. The button for clothes drying is very useful. It may seem expensive, but it does exactly what I want it to do and may even buy an additional one for our house.

Great
I am very happy with this dehumidifier. It works really well and removes moisture from the room quickly. The air feels fresher, and the room is much more comfortable. It is easy to use, quiet, and the water tank is simple to empty. The build quality is also very good. Overall, it is a great product and excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend it.

Great dehumidifier
I've been using the Meaco Arete One 12L Dehumidifier & Air Purifier for a week, and I'm really pleased with it. It's easy to use, and has been consistently lowering my home's humidity. I empty the water tank about every two days, which shows it's removing a surprising amount of moisture from the air. I bought it to help with damp and mould issues, and although it's still early, I think I've already noticed a small improvement. The air feels fresher, and it gives me peace of mind knowing it's helping to reduce excess moisture. The built-in air purifier is a nice added bonus too. It’s not very quiet, but it’s less loud than a pedestal fan.

Hello Sid,
The Meaco Arete One 12L Dehumidifier & Air Purifier does not actively cool a room; it is designed to remove moisture from the air and purify it, and any temperature change is incidental from the dehumidification process.
Thanks for using Q&A
For purifying air it needs a hepa filter fitted. Note that it is optional and it will still work as a dehumidifier without. If the hepa filter is fitted it will purify and dehumidify at the same time. If you wish there is a function for just air purification. I believe this is with summer months in mind when dehumidifying is less of a need.

Hello Mad Maggie,
For the Meaco Arete One 12L Dehumidifier & Air Purifier.
The instruction manual states: ''Replacing the HEPA filter.
The dehumidifier comes with a H13 HEPA filter. This HEPA filter can be inserted into the dehumidifier to enable air purification, however this is optional - the dehumidifier can be used without the HEPA filter, this means it will dehumidify the air only and not purify it.
Although we do highly recommend using the dehumidifier with a HEPA filter, if you would like a quieter unit, removing the HEPA filter will reduce the noise level by 4-5 decibels.
• The HEPA filter is not life-long and must be replaced when the colour changes from white to grey (it depends on the environment the dehumidifier is being used in but the HEPA filter will need replacing roughly every 3 months).
• The HEPA filter can be hoovered every so often to remove any dust or dirt.
• To insert/replace the HEPA filter place it inside the combined filter case and dust filter, then slide the combined filter case and dust filter into the dehumidifier.
• Replacement HEPA filters can be purchased from Meaco.''

No app is needed to control this dehumidifier; the controllers are located on top of the unit.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Cathy,
The supplier has advised the following for the Meaco Arete One 12L Dehumidifier & Air Purifier:
"Assuming you are asking about the HEPA filter in the Meaco Arete One 12L Dehumidifier & Air Purifier, it is designed to retain 99.75% of particles as small as 0.3 micrometers in diameter. This includes common airborne impurities such as dust, pollen, pet dander, and other fine particles."
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Polo,
Meaco Arete One 12L Dehumidifier & Air Purifier
We strongly recommend direct wall plugging to avoid overheating, fire risk, and potential internal damage, as extension cords can struggle with the power draw of dehumidifiers. If you must use one, ensure it's rated for the appliance, grounded (3-prong), in excellent shape, and avoid surge protectors.
Thanks for using Q&A
Hello beebee,
Meaco Arete One 12L Dehumidifier & Air Purifier
The Meaco Arete One 12L Dehumidifier & Air Purifier is generally considered safe for use in a baby bedroom. It is designed to be quiet and energy-efficient, making it suitable for damp areas and helping to reduce moisture and allergens in the air. However, it's always best to monitor the air quality and ensure that the device is not too close to sleeping areas, as some may prefer to keep it further away from babies for safety reasons. Overall, it is a well-reviewed product that can effectively manage humidity and improve indoor air quality.
Thank you.
Hello Chrissy,
I can advise the following for the Meaco Arete One 12L Dehumidifier & Air Purifier:
Apologies, this doesn't have a handle.
Thanks for using Q & A.
Was just a bonus to have that happen
Hey Deni,
I can advise that this dehumidifier is not designed to heat up the room, however the dried air is passed over heating coils before
it is blown into the room as part of the dehumidification process.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Once it has reached the desired humidity it stops but the display stays on, it then re checks the humidity every 20 mins or so. So it doesnt continually run.
Hello,
The Meaco Arete One 12L Dehumidifier & Air Purifier does not have a set time for operation; it operates continuously without a specific end time.
Thanks for using Q & A.
