The Sony WH1000XM5 headphones are built for anyone who wants serious noise cancellation and exceptional audio quality, whether you're travelling, commuting or working from home. The Integrated Processor V1 works with the HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1 to deliver industry-leading active noise cancellation, so you can block out distractions and focus on what matters. 30mm drivers deliver High-Resolution Audio with real clarity, and Precise Voice Pickup technology with wind noise reduction keeps your calls crystal-clear.
Adaptive Sound Control adjusts settings based on your environment, and Speak-to-Chat pauses your music automatically when you start talking. Touch controls on the ear cups let you manage playback and calls, and an adjustable headband keeps things comfortable during long sessions. Bluetooth gives you wireless freedom up to 10m, and a detachable 3.5mm cable lets you switch to wired when needed. Fast charging gets you going quickly, and a full charge takes 210 minutes. The headphones come with a carrying case, connection cable, and USB cable, so you're ready to go.

Posh headphones, designed for big blokes
I really wanted to love these, in fact I ordered, reordered, and returned two different colourways. In the end I returned them because a) they are far to large for my head, even on the smallest setting and b) aesthetically the colourways are very ''cold" and don't suit my warm colouring, and c) the touch controls are on the right hand side only, making it awkward to use whilst doing right handed activites. The shape of the earphones meant that the lowest point would sit right on my jawline. I consider myself to have a fairly big round head (!) but it feels like these were really designed for men, without much thought for smaller women's bodies. The aesthetic point isn't something I would normally worry about too much, however for the price and prestige of these headphones I think you really have to love them to justify the cost. In the end I've opted for a pair of Anker noise cancelling headphones which share a lot of the same features, have a much warmer tone that suits my colouring, and most importantly - fit my head. They're nowhere near as well designed or high quality as these Sony ones but having them not sit on my jaw is more important than the sound quality at this stage for me. Sony - make a smaller pair, with round ear pads, in warm colours, and maybe I'll reconsider.

Not very good, sound is ok, but they are extremely infuriating. They switch from noise cancelling/ambient/noise cancelling off without warning, prompt or reason. I have a £15 pair of corded headphones from the same manufacturer that offer a much better quality of sound.
