If the chain cant be sharpened then it needs to come with a better quality chain! Anyway, it very much can be sharpened as Ive done it with mine!

The Spear & Jackson S3635CC 35cm Cordless Chainsaw - 36V has an Oregon chain with the following bar/chain code - Oregon, 90PX052X / 144MLEA041 and a Part Number of 1970ZA0027.
If cutting becomes sub-standard then a new chain would have to be fitted.
Full maintenance instructions on how to prolong the working life of the chainsaw are given in the operating instructions booklet, a copy of which can be viewed by clicking on View Document PDF at the base of the product details on the webpage.
