Setting up the line on your Flymo Contour XT 25cm Corded Grass Trimmer (300W) is straightforward. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you:
Remove the Spool Cover:
Ensure the trimmer is unplugged.
Press the two tabs on the side of the spool cover to release it.
Prepare the Line:
If the line is tied into two knots, untie these knots carefully.
You should have two lengths of line, each about 5 meters long.
Wind the Line onto the Spool:
Insert one end of the line into one of the holes on the spool.
Wind the line in the direction of the arrows on the spool. Make sure the line is wound neatly and evenly.
Repeat the process for the second line on the other side of the spool.
Feed the Line Through the Eyelets:
Once both lines are wound, leave about 10 cm of line unwound.
Feed these ends through the eyelets on the spool cover.
Reattach the Spool Cover:
Place the spool back into the trimmer head.
Align the tabs on the spool cover with the slots on the trimmer head and press down until it clicks into place.
Check the Line:
Pull the ends of the line to ensure they are securely in place and can move freely.

This just prevents the line going into the head itself so when the item is being unboxed it is ready to be used straight away. After using regularly the line will eventually wear so the knots are no longer there. The customer can also undo the knots if they wish too.''
