Value deal
I bought weeks ago, the price, design and functions all match my needs. Although I prefer the watch have an analogue version. Easy to use and accurate, worth every penny.

Impressive multifunction watch
Excellent watch for not a lot of money. Bought this to wear constantly as I did not want to change watches for washing and showers. Looks more expensive, keeps very accurate time and has lots of functions to help with various chores in whatever country you are in.

Excellent quality Casio watch
I bought this watch for my teen son. It came in a well presented box and case with instructions. The watch fits around the wrist perfectly and feels of good quality. The display is very clear and the time updates every night. The alarm, stopwatch and timer features work well. The backlight is brighter than normal which is good. I haven't tested how waterproof it is yet but is perfect for daily use.

Typical Casio goodness
Bought this just a few days ago and it's a great watch. Typical Casio. If it's not telling the correct time on activation, just leave it in a window to do it's thing overnight as it picks up it's signal, and by morning, you'll be correct to the second. Light and comfortable. Got the orange backlight version instead of the blue....the Argos code was for the blue.....but no matter. A v good watch..

Great watch
Great watching. Easy to read dials and comfortable to wear. Very pleased

Accurate, excellent value and water-resistant.
My old one of these has finally leaked slightly due to my poor placement of the waterproofing seal. It lasted 15 years and I expect the new one to last longer, now that I can replace the sealing ring more carefully. It has been absolutely (and I mean ABSOLUTELY) accurate for that entire time, holding a radio-controlled time with automatic updates. The watch is good looking enough to wear to a wedding but the price simply cannot be beaten for what you get. It is waterproof for all reasonable purposes, particularly if you need to shower or swim in a public pool (avoids theft, because you just don't take it off) and the watch shows the day, date and time. Adjustable for all timezones, it has a countdown timer and stopwatch, although I've never used that feature.

Excellent for working in different time zones
I brought this as a direct replacement, after my previous one was lost. Exactly the same functionality. Does everything I need and the ability to switch between different countries and the stop watch features for my running are excellent.

Hello Ant
This model allows the user to view the current time at the top of the display as well as the Lap time on the main display.
Thanks for using Q and A.
I have the stainless steel strap which snapped but Casio want 80.00 for new strap which cost more than the watch so be careful.
Hi Wessex,
Thanks for your query about the Casio Wave Ceptor LCD Digital Black Resin Strap Watch.
The brand themselves do sell replacement straps, e.g. should the original be lost or become faulty/damage. However, they advise to not use it with a 3rd party strap that’s not designed for use with it.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Mandt.
Yes, Casio Men's Wave Ceptor LCD Digital Black Resin Strap Watch can be set in 12/24 format.
Thanks for using Q & A.
I just got one is module 3476 is marked UKCA which came in to force 2021. As per other answer out the box it was set to Tokyo but stays set to London through an automatic time update. It has reasonable accuracy per month so will be manually triggering a synchronisation to save battery. Backlight is yellow LED not EL as per older module.
I have a Casio wave septor WV-58u with the number 3053. It is some years old and has been a good watch. BUT ,. now when receiving the time signal it defaults to year 2005 and time zone for TYK. The only way round it is to reset it manually an d mask it from the time signal . It is a real pain
Hello keith,
The supplier has advised the following for the Casio Men's Wave Ceptor LCD Digital Black Resin Strap Watch:
“ The model WV-58U-1AVES has been discontinued this year. There is no known issue that we are aware of in regard to setting up the date and time. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.
The manual says the supplied battery is a test battery will not last as long as a replacement. The accuracy is pretty good without regular synchronisation to the time signal, I would leave it on manual and do it every now and then to preserve battery. Otherwise it could check up to six times a night.
I bought one of these watches in 2017 at 21 pounds , its now 22 December 2025 and the battery has just given up .
Over 8 years and two new straps I think it must be the best 21 quid for a watch that I ever spent.
Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Casio Men's Wave Ceptor LCD Digital Black Resin Strap Watch: ''Batteries can last up to 2 years depending on the functions of the watch.''
Thank you for using Q & A.
This is my second same watch. The first one I think I purchased about 3 years ago and the battery still works (only had to buy a new one because the strap broke). I never used the light on it, so that drastically prolonged the life of the battery.
Out the box its set to Japan but can be changed to London and then stays set.
