when i bought these rods, i had a major problem with the foul pipe and overflowing drain. unable to get a plumber as it was the weekend, we were able to clear the blockage and resolve the problem completely.

Perfect for the job
Not very glamorous but these did the job perfectly. Plenty of length on the rods and two fittings for the end. Cleared the blockage with no problems.

Relatively cheap set of rods and may not be the most robust when considering heavy usage requirement. However, I don't expect to use the set often and the first use did the required unblocking job admirably. I hope they last for when needed on each infrequent occasion. Recommended.

They WOULD be suitable IF the toilet is blocked because the underground waste pipes OUTSIDE the house are blocked! This type of blockage would affect ALL water draining from your home, ie kitchen sink, dishwasher, washing machine, bathroom sink, shower and bath. You are likely to find water or sewage leaking from a manhole cover or drain near the manhole cover if you run kitchen tap. Or if you lift any manhole covers ON the property and you see it blocked or filled with waste water and sewage.

These WORKPRO 12 Piece Drain Rod Set are for use in pipes outside your house. It shouldn't be used for blockages inside the house (eg blocked sinks or toilets). You would need a domestic plunger.
