About this product
The Gtech Multi K9 is a handheld cordless vacuum for homes with pets. It runs up to 20 minutes on a full charge and weighs 1.5kg, making it easy to carry around the house or car. Its aluminium construction is tougher than most handhelds, and scented cartridges keep things fresh while you clean. The motorised power head lifts stubborn pet hair and dirt from carpets and switches between carpets and hard floors with a button. Attachments include a pet tool, dusting brush, crevice nozzle, upholstery nozzle, combination floor nozzle, extension tube, and a crevice tool stored inside the body for quick access.
The 0.4l bin empties with a simple latch that keeps dust clouds down, and the washable filter means no replacements. The LED headlight lights up tight spots like car footwells and under furniture, so crumbs have nowhere to hide. The battery charges on or off the unit in about 4 hours, and the LED display shows how much charge remains while in use. It runs at 78 decibels, quieter than most uprights, and works across carpets, deep pile, wool, hard floors, laminate, upholstery and stairs. It's handy for stairs, car interiors, and quick spills.

Great and handy
I'm loving this handy little cleaner that holds its charge extremely well. The 40v power is great for cleaning all surfaces with ease. One drawback for me is that it is very hard to take off the dust unit. At my age of 76 years it is impossible to do this as it needs somebody with strength to take it apart. The filter is quite hard to get out too. Because of this I only gave it 4 stars

Great vacuum But
This is a great vacuum super power full with just the right amount of attachments, however if you don’t have access to an air compressor I think it could work out expensive to run as the filters block quite quickly and you would have to change them quite often. Im lucky as I have access to an air compressor so I just take the filters to work and blow them out. this is my third one now and have found the performance is a good as the others I wouldn’t buy any other hand held vacuum.

Preferred old model
Very difficult to get the cylinder out for emptying - old model was much easier! Loss of suction when using the long attachment and it keeps falling out.

Thanks. Well, it quickly went flat, I rang customer support and was told it was because it needs to be used regularly daily even or it will go flat and mine was not faulty!
With a working career if 60 years in electronics, I disputed this but they refused to accept it was a fault!
Prospective buyers need to be aware of this attitude.
Considering the upright cleaner bought in the same package has the usual expected battery behaviour regarding use and capacity.

When fully charged and not in use, the battery should retain the majority of its charge for several weeks. A small amount of natural discharge is normal over time, however it would not typically go completely flat within 3–4 weeks if stored correctly.
For best results when keeping the machine in reserve (for example in case of a power cut), we would recommend:
Storing the machine in a cool, dry place
Ensuring it is fully charged before storage
Topping up the charge every 4–6 weeks if it is not being used
If the battery is going completely flat within 3–4 weeks without use, this may indicate that the battery is beginning to deteriorate and may require replacement.
