Great iron so far
Bought this to replace my old iron which developed too many issues. Haven’t had it long but so far so good. It’s a comfortable weight, and glides smoothly. One of the main reasons I chose this iron was being able to clearly see the water level in the tank, a really annoying and bad design feature of my old one. Instructions took a bit of reading to follow and grasp most of the features given the use of symbols and pictures but eventually got there.

Wonderful
Best steam iron I’ve ever had, it’s easy to use and glides over fabric to remove creases. It’s not heavy at all and heats up in seconds. Great value too.

Disappointing,
Design not ergonomic! The space between the handle and the temperature selection dial is too narrow. This caused the skin on my knuckles to chaff. I returned the iron.

Phillips iron
Used this iron several times. Irons well, is quite lightweight with a decent length cord. Large water reservoir which is semi transparent. No water pourer provided but I use the one from my previous iron.

Value for money
I was in a hurry to buy an iron, as my last one stopped working without any warning after less than two years. I did not want an expensive model as I am often buying irons - they seem not to last. Having bought Phillips before and have been happy with them I chose the 5000 Steam glide plus for the following reason :- 1. It's lightweight and easy to manoeuvre 2. It has a reasonable size cable 3. The temperature dial is very easy to read 4. Likewise, the steam buttons on top are simple to use 5. The water chamber is see through - my last iron was not and I was constantly overfilling it. 6. It is a reasonable price and comes with a guarantee
