The seat cushions and backrests are finished in top grain leather where you sit and lean, while the rest of the sofa uses faux leather. I bought this a week ago to replace a 14 year old sofa bed. It fits nicely in it’s place and takes up less room.

Excellent recliner for smaller rooms.
This is the second Paolo sofa that I have. The first I have had for about 3 years, it is still perfect. The mechanism works well and the leather is still in excellent condition. The new one is firmer to sit on at the moment, but I find that with use they soften up and become more cosy. I also have 2 Paolo armchairs from my previous purchase and they too are comfy and work well. The recline feature works well and clips back in on all of them with no problems. I think if you were very elderly it may be a struggle sometimes to push the leg part of the recliner back and clip it in, in which case the electric recliner would be more suitable. The back of the chair also reclines by pushing back, again this may not be easy for a very elderly person. The leather on all my chairs has stayed in excellent condition. It is easy to clean and strong. I have a big dog who likes to jump onto the sofa for a nap and despite this my 3 year old sofa has no marks from him doing so It is easy to wipe clean with a soft cloth and water. Occasionally I go over the suite with a a leather cleaner and protector. The vinyl sides just needs a wipe with water to keep it clean. The furniture is quite small compared to some leather suites and also relatively light. This can mean a chair ican tip forward if a child gets off when the foot rest is up, which obviously they shouldn't do really, but hey you know kids don't always follow the rules! I haven't had that happen with the sofa though. So, it speaks for itself that I bought a second Paiolo 2 seater sofa for another room 3 years after the first suite. I am happy with all my purchases and i would recommend them if you are looking for a genuine leather sofa (on most surfaces) and not the cheap pu leather (fake leather) that you often get in this price range.

Lovely sofas - delivery wasn’t very good
Lovely sofa - really comfy. Delivery wasn’t as good. They arrived in boxes - need to put together yourself. The boxes wouldn’t fit through the front door so they left them on the drive, didn’t even offer to unpack and bring it in separate. I had to get my husband out of work to get them in.

After having to send one back due to broken reclining mechanism, the replacement came and the seat bases don't quite line up so aesthetically, annoying. Comfort is OK and what you would expect for the money but nothing special.

Great value 2 seater (in the sale)
A good quality small 2 seater recliner sofa. It's comfortable and easy to clean with us having young children. The padding is good but I don't know how long it will last. I hope we get a good few years out of them.

I have actually found that there is velcro underneath a strip of material so after taking the strip of material off it secures the arm rest on the inside. Instructions do not specify this maybe they should make them clearer. Val
