I did love this light fitting
After 12 years of this great light. I needed a new one as the old one was begining to show problems. My first purchase was great, until the lights were turned on and the glass bulb covers broke, literaly poped and fell apart. After a great deal of trouble (as no spares available ) I got another complete fitting only to find the top tile smashed . So gave up and returned. Sadly it will have to be a completly new and different design of light Shame because it is a nice light

Argos Home Mira 4 Light Bathroom Cube Spotlights -
Good quality bathroom light fitting with an IP42 rating, suitable for a Zone 2 bathroom. However I did encounter a few small problems. One of the treaded holes in the mounting bracked would not accept the screw fortunately I has a tap the correct size and was able to clean the treads. Secondaly, one of the metal lined treads of the cube glass was not seated properly so woud not scre on fully, I was able to lever the damaged portion with a screw driver and applied a small coat of white grease to lubricate the treads. Overall, very happy with my purchase. I might change the G9 LED bulbs from warm white to cool white, these are sold seperately.

OK but ....
Bulbs are easy to fit. I installed 2.6amp G9 bulbs but they are not quite bright enough. I tried 4amp G9 but these are too long. There is a cover which goes over the bulbs which makes the maximum length 52mm, 4amp bulbs seem to be around 58-9mm Perhaps I need to try without the cover. The light was fitted by an electrician who said it was a little fiddley.

“ There is a tool made by a clear shrink tube(7) that is used to unscrew the inner glass shades(8)
You need to unscrew the inner glass shades(7) first to unscrew the outer square glass shades(5)
Numbers refer to step 3 in the manual. ”

Recommended maximum wattage: 4 watts, so yes you can use the bulbs 954/2600.

“ The glass can be removed by unscrewing from the lamp holder, assembly instructions are provided with the product; these should be cleaned with a soft dry cloth, do not use polish or abrasive cleaner. ”

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Mira 4 Light Bathroom Cube Spotlights - Chrome: This is a class 2 appliance, also known as double insulated. It does not need additional earthing.

Yes you can use G9 halogen, but although G9 LED are more expensive they are much more economical in the long run.

I can confirm If the size of the LED G9 bulb is same as the normal halogen G9 bulb and the wattage is below the limit (Max. 6W LED bulb), then this should be ok.
