6 ft means is very tall. The tree is worth the money. But had to spend much money on buying decorations for the tree. Read the manual to set it up

I recall there being a little removable cap on the end of the middle section where the pole is put into the lower section. There was nothing about this cap in the leaflet, I just noticed it because it fell off when I lifted up this section. My guess is that cap is causing the problem.
