Affordable, good quality cafetière with sturdy design, easy to use and clean, makes decent coffee. Some concerns about fragile glass and flimsy plastic parts.

1L Cafetière
Bought this a few weeks ago and is absolutely brilliant, the capacity is as I wanted and the filtration of straining out the coffee from the water is also brilliant.

Hi Juney,
Thanks for your query about the 8 Cup Cafetiere - Black.
Having checked, this will have clear glass. The reference to it being black is the colour of the other parts, the lid, handle and so on which are black. The image that appears to chow the whole thing as black is because it's shown with coffee in it.
The other ones we do that aren't black can be found here:

Hello Penguin,
The supplier has advised the following for the 8 Cup Cafetiere - Black:
It can be used for tea, but its purpose is not for keeping the liquid hot. You'd need to transfer it to another receptible like a flask or tea pot, with a suitable tea cosy perhaps, for that.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A.
I've only used it for making coffee as it's a cafetière with a plunger which is used to push down the ground coffee when the coffee is ready to be poured.
It's just glass so it doesn't keep it hot for anything longer than if it was in a standard glass or cup.
