The Cordless 43cm Pole Hedge Trimmer has been designed for fast, effective trimming of taller, hard to reach hedges. The hedge trimmer extends up to 2.0m in usable length, providing approximately 3.5m of reach. Its 180 degree pivoting head locks into 5 different positions, for greater versatility for angle cutting and access when trimming. Ergonomic, balanced design and soft feel grip provide added comfort.

Great for those high branches
Purchased for those high hedges and shrubs without having to lug around steps and worry about trailing cables etc and has not disappointed can now get a good universal cut right across the top.

I bought an extended Black & Decker hedge trimmer from Argos since it was compatible and complementary with my other electric garden equipment. It is a very good relatively light hedge trimmer. It has a fixed length and a rather limited range of blade angle positions but it suits my purpose. The purchasing and delivery experience from Argos was excellent.

Ordered this to replace a much older hedge trimmer. Easily assembled as the 2 sections screw together to give the full 2 Meter length (handle to end of the blade) Easily adjusts to change the angle of the blade. The screw section needs tightening every 10 minutes as it slackens off. It does NOT extend and the '~3.5M reach' listed includes YOUR height holding the trimmer. Good battery life. Long charge time. The pole connector and screw lock seems to be the same as B&D other items (pole chainsaws etc) so additional height may be possible with a spare pole. An extension pole section is shown in the instructions, but not referenced anywhere and not included. It can be heavy if used for long times or at angles. But pleased overall.

Lightweight tool
I needed a little and simple tool to manage my garden hedges and this quite fits the bill, it’s light and and fairly compact although might feel at times not too able to tackle the hard edges and I suspect it might not last as long as desired. For the time being it’s a useful tool, easy to set up, battery life on, will last approx 30-45 minutes depending on use, and any keen (and also beginner) gardener can make good use of it to tidy up the unruly hedges. Would recommend.

Convenient and impressive garden tool.
This Black & Decker 18v cordless pole hedge trimmer combines convenience and performance for garden maintenance. Its cordless design is its best feature, I hated the faff of my old corded one, having to get the extension leads etc out and the worry of where the cord is all of the time while cutting, I love the fact this product saved me having to keep going up and down the steps to reach the higher part of the hedge/bushes. With its 46cm blade length & 12mm cutting capacity I found it just long enough without being too clumsy. I cut my 15mx3m high Conifer Hedge both sides and was really impressed with its abilities, It cut smoothly with no jagging. The battery takes about 4hrs to charge but as it lasts for 45mins was ample for my small garden. With Black & Deckers interchangeable battery I had a spare one if I needed it (Which I didn't). It felt heavy to start with but once using it I didn't take any notice. It has 5 cutting angles which I found plenty and really easy to adjust when required, and the fact it comes apart in 2 piece for storage is great. Overall I was very happy with this Black & Decker hedge trimmer. It made my garden tidy up easy, it also comes with a 2-year guarantee for piece of mind.

Do not need a ladder anymore to reach taller hedge
This pole hedge trimmer is ideal for trimming hedges slightly taller than average. Our property has a long hedge border, which used to take me 3-4 hours to trim, as I needed to tackle both sides and use a ladder for the top. With this cordless, long-reach trimmer, I no longer need the ladder, and I don't have to deal with tangled cables. It has significantly reduced my trimming time by at least an hour. However, the trimmer can feel a bit heavy after extended use. Overall, it's a huge time-saver and a great addition to my gardening tools.
