Great cutters
These hedge trimmer are fantastic for my husband to use, a bit more difficult for me as I am only 5ft. Quite heavy although they compare favourably in weight with other brands. They were a good price as they were on offer. The tilt is very useful especially when cutting above your height and you findvits possible not to use ladders.

GOOD CUTTERS BUT UNNECESSARY DELIVERY EXPENSE
Only used these a few times and so far they have been good & produced a clean cut, however I would expect this as they are brand new and nice and sharp, see how they are in a year or so. Once thing I have learned with cutters of this type is to give a quick spray of some light oil on the blades prior to each session to increase the smoothness of cuts and make the blades last longer. Bad bits - They are quite heavy as they are, unextended and because it is only the handle that extends, the motor being fixed right next to the blades, when they are extended all that weight moves right to the end. This makes them feel twice as heavy. I am no 7 stone weakling but oh boy do you feel it once you've cut 50 odd foot of 10 foot high hedge. Also, the lead is I think rather short so count on needing a decent length extension lead to go with them. My only other criticism is not of this product but is aimed squarely at argos, who for some inexplicable reason would not allow me to collect this from the local store which I pass every day. Instead I was forced to spend £6.95 to have it delivered to my house. Totally wrong. So much for companies decreasing their carbon footprint as a whacking great lorry had to travel all the way out to me just for this, instead of me collecting it for free. Its not as if it was a cumbersome or very heavy item that they couldn't have in their store so no excuse. I picked up a 35Kg set of weights just a few months earlier from the same store so why not this item? If I hadn't been paying for part of this purchase using Nectar points I would have bought it from somewhere else. So 4 stars for the cutters and 2 stars for argos, who should make it possible for items such as this to be collected for free from a store instead of forcing people to waste money and increasing the size of the hole in the ozone layer.

Got these to do some 8 foot high bushes its absolutely brilliant does the job however unless you have got muscles like he man they do get heavy my arms hurt for like a week after 2 days of using it but it got the job done
