About this product
Ecobase Fastfit Shed Base kits are designed to provide a firm long lasting base on which to install a garden building. Each kit consists of strong, recycled plastic grids that click together and a sheet of weed resistant membrane. Ecobase grids are a lot lighter and easier to handle than paving flags and less messy and much quicker than laying a wet-mix concrete slab. Rainwater drains through the grid cavities keeping the floor bearers dry and ventilated. Ecobase Fastfit Shed Base kits are suitable for most garden buildings.
Made from 100 percent UK sourced recycled plastics.
The Ecobase Fastfit grids' honey comb structure does not allow rain water to get trapped between the grids and the floor bearers of the building. This means your building will last longer as the floor timbers are kept dry and ventilated.
Supports 240 tonnes per m2. Gravel is not needed across the whole base. Optionally, gravel can be used round the perimeter to create a French drain.
None delivery to Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Orkney, Shetland and Scottish Highlands.

Seems sturdy
Seems like a good sturdy product. Haven't been able to use it as the shed I bought along with it was so bad I was unable to use it. Wasn't able to return the shed as past the 28 days so this product has just sat in my garage

This was perfect base to put my shed on
Bertha, 55 - 64, Motherwell Scotland
Absolutely Floored !!!
Twaz a day of sun and rain when the goods arrived. Be plastic they sat proudly sucking up the mixed British weather awaiting my arrival. Once undressed and standing upright and firm, I recycled the packaging and lay into getting things down. A firm bottom was already awaiting and it didn't take long to bang everything into place. Standing back proudly I see the advantages of my choices.

Hello there,
The supplier has advised the following for the Ecobase Fastfit Plastic Kit Shed - 5x5, 6x6, and 6x5ft:
"Ecobase Shed Base Kits can be used to support sheds made from wood, metal or plastic. If the shed manufacturer recommends that the building is anchored down, Ecobase can still be used as a base and does not need filling with gravel or concrete. Instead source some 300 to 450mm long tent or marquee pegs ( readily available on line). These can be pushed through holes in the frame of the shed at the bottom of the walls, through the cavities of the Ecobase below and then hammered into the ground beneath. Such an arrangement should keep the building firmly on the ground."
(We'd also advise that you also check with the metal shed's manufacturer for its suitability for use with this type of base before considering purchase).
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi Tiggy,
The Ecobase Fastfit Plastic Kit Shed has the following base measurement W6.57, D6.57ft. It will be large enough to hold a 6 x 4 shed but there will be a significant amount of base left on the edges.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi Ollie,
Thanks for your query about the Ecobase Fastfit Plastic Kit Shed - 5x5, 6x6, and 6x5ft.
Having checked, yes it is possible to join more up together as they all come with the same design of two sides with the notches and two with the "hooks" on. However, the size of the membrane underneath it would limit the overall size that you could build them up to. This won't have a 10ft x 10ft membrane.
Thanks for using Q&A.
The small print
All sheds need to be placed and secured on a base; this can be concrete, patio slabs or wood. Putting your shed directly on the ground wouldn't be safe and would decrease the lifespan of your shed.
