Bought for my son, it seems ok. At least he can groom his ears now, and not ask me to do it. It’s a lot safer than a scissors, and far more comfortable.

Yes, it cuts close to the skin. Electric rotary nose trimmers usually cut hair to a length of about 1 to 2 mm. We cannot provide a more exact length as it also depends on how you use it (how far you insert it and how close to the skin). Cutting closer than this might not be healthy for your nostrils or ears.
