Very efficient replacement Security system.
Replaced my old cctv system with two of these Tapo units and was amazed how well they work, fast as lightning connectingto WiFi with excellent sound qaulity, nightvision and rotation, they actually perform better than my old subscription systen I have used for years. They are A bit fiddly to install as the cable supplied, which in my case had to go through a rather wide cavitiy wall, was just on the short side however, by using a juction box and a little adaptation it was sorted and up and running and very well too.Yes I would definately recommend the Tapo security cameras for excellent value for your money, including weather resistance, resolution and clarity and very easy to operate from you armchair.

Tapo cheap but high quality
Picked this up for £34,.compared to higher priced models I found this just as good of not better, no subscription fees needed just my own sd card enables me to record and monitor the camera footage 24/7. Great picture quality and excellent night vision, just a small amount of street light is enough to not need the actual night vison mode, showing clear images with the option to turn on the camera light for full colour night vision. Simple setup with custom viewing angles, enabling 1 click to turn the camera in your set direction, mic capabilities built in meaning can communicate to external visitors, great motion detection with custom settings means you can pretty much tune this to specific actions or events. A must buy for a tight budget, easy installation and 360 viewing.

Yes, you can absolutely view the Tapo C510W from anywhere, as long as your phone has an internet connection. The camera connects via Wi-Fi, allowing you to access the live feed through the Tapo app on the smartphone from any location.
Number of Devices:
Multiple devices can access the camera's live view by logging into the same Tapo account on the Tapo app. In general, Tapo cameras support viewing from multiple devices as long as they are signed in under the same Tapo account.
Note:
1. Remote Viewing: Up to 6 different accounts can stream the live view simultaneously. With the same account, there’s no limit on the number of devices.
2. Local Viewing: Up to 3 devices can stream the live view at once. Connections via ONVIF or RTSP also count toward this limit.

Regarding the issue of delayed notifications, please try the following steps.
1.Reboot camera
2.Check if motion detection is triggered, if the detection is not triggered, please refer to the detection troubleshooting steps---
--Method 1: Enable alarm for detected motion, check if alarm is raised.
--Method 2: Go to Activity/Message center on APP, check if events are displayed.
3.Check notifications features are enabled.
--Camera settings-> Detection & Alerts -> Notifications
--Me -> Notifications -> Camera Detection Messages
4.Try uninstall and reinstall the Tapo app to see if it resolves the issue.

You can use the Tapo C510W without any subscription fees.
Once the camera is set up and connected to the internet, you can view the live feed through the Tapo app at no additional cost.
For recording footage, there are two options:
Tapo Care (Cloud Storage): The camera includes a free 30‑day trial, which provides cloud storage and extra features. After the trial ends, a subscription is required to continue using this service.
microSD Card: You can insert a microSD card to record footage locally, either continuously or when motion is detected, with no ongoing fees.
In summary: A subscription is optional, you only need it if you want cloud storage after the free trial.

1. How far away from the router can the camera be placed?
Tapo devices generally perform well within a range of 30 feet (approximately 9 meters) from the router. However, the actual distance and effective range depend on your router's signal strength, walls, and other obstacles.
2. Does it only work on "4G Wi-Fi" (5 GHz)?
The Tapo C510W only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b/g/n). It is not compatible with 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks. Please ensure your router broadcasts a 2.4 GHz network for the camera to connect.
3. The Tapo app supports camera sharing. Your father can grant you access to his camera via your own mobile device. Shared users can access the camera's live view, call, voice call, PTZ control, and SD card video functions, but they cannot access Tapo Care cloud storage or change other camera settings. This feature is free.
