Fantastic security camera
Neat looking, great picture and super wide field of vision. Great infra red view In colour, day and night, or black and white if preferred. Very easy to instal, with the Tapo app. Excellent.. Very pleased with it!

Easy installation
After 3 weeks of use and an easy installation. The camera was very well packed and after installation I found the picture quality to be of a very high standard. The camera is of great value and robust against the northern Ireland weather.

Does what it says
Works well, needs SD card which would be useful if included. Has good quality recording. Need to download Tapo app and configure it all which took me ages but I did it in the end (I'm not very technical)

But it definately wont stay charged on internal batteries for 300 days!!

Low battery life
Had to take it back as battery life not living up to what's claimed. Tapo say 300 days, after 7 days it was 60% so no way I was going to get 300 days. Of course they cover themselves by saying "up to" which could mean you could get one day! Also found the WiFi range very short, maybe as used to other cameras with aerials. Did like the mag mount though.

Animal detection not working
Bought to find out what animal is leaving a mess in my front garden. Picks up human motions but not pets. Apart from this, the rest is fine, easy to use and quite reliable. Hopefully the pet function can be improved in the future update

Great camera! Could do with a rigid mounting option supplied as it recommends one for exposed locations in the installation instructions! Battery life is not going to be as good as claimed but that may improve as I get to grips with the motion detection and cut down the false triggers.

The Tapo C425 has Built-in Spotlights. You can go to camera's live view page to turn on the light. As long as the WIFI connection is stable, you can continuously watch the live view on the Tapo APP.

The supplier has advised the following for the TP-Link C425 Smart Wi-Fi Outdoor Battery Security Cam CCTV:
"Yes, the Tapo C425 camera is compatible with the Tapo H200 hub. This integration allows the camera to store video footage on the microSD card inserted in the H200 hub and provides an alternative network connection option, enabling the camera to switch between Wi-Fi and the hub's connection for optimal performance.
To enable this functionality, ensure that both the Tapo C425 camera and the Tapo H200 hub are updated to the latest firmware versions. You can update the firmware via the Tapo app by navigating to the device settings and selecting the firmware update option.
Once both devices are updated, follow these steps to connect the Tapo C425 camera to the H200 hub:
1. Open the Tapo app and navigate to the Tapo C425 camera's device settings.
2. Select "Storage & Recording" and then "Local Storage."
3. Choose "Hub Storage" as the storage location and select the Tapo H200 hub.
This setup will enable the Tapo C425 camera to utilize the H200 hub for video storage and also, you can try using network backup option, enhancing your home security system's reliability."
