Work great, particularly for the cost
These have come along massively over the last couple of years. Absolutely packed full of features in the app, no subscription, no ads etc. The night vision works well just with ambient street light. Loads of options for detection. Can zoom across the road and still read number plates. Audio is sensitive enough I can hear noises through the window they're behind and around the house. The ability to tune the different detection modes is very useful. I have a 64gb card in them and it lasts about a 9-12 days before looping back to the beginning. Just make sure you use a branded high endurance SD card like a SanDisk high endurance because the standard ones aren't designed for continual re-writing. Definitely worth it for £24.99 compared to buying a random no name one for a bit less.

Great camera for windows
The camera is very good. I use it in my window facing the car park. It has a very good visibility through the glass after turning on day mode only. It took its time to connect to my wifi and eatablish a good connection but it works perfectly now. It has a great feature that it follows people as soon as they appear in the range until they leave. I am happy with the camera, I use SD car and its all good for me. For that price its perfect.

Really quick and easy to setup and use, great clear 2k for a fair price. Works great in low light and has AI detection of people, pets. Also setup a preview feature for glass smash detection that correctly alerted to a washing up incident :D

Great upgrade to my set of C200 1080p cameras, far superior resolution without losing the renowned night time colour video. Site in your window looking out over you garden or drive, set to day mode permanently and turn off LED to stop reflections and you have the perfect OUTSIDE security camera inside your house. Now to buy another 5 of them !

It is generally not recommended to use an extension cable to power the camera, as this may affect its performance. Please consider the following points:
1. The material and length of the extension cable may cause the voltage reaching the Tapo camera to be lower than the voltage it requires to operate, resulting in some unusual behavior, such as the camera automatically restarting at night or getting stuck when panning and tilting.
2. Using extension cords outdoors may also increase the risk of lightning damage, which may void your product's warranty.
3. If you must use an extension cord, please consider a cable with 22 AWG or thicker wire to minimize voltage drops and ensure your camera receives adequate power. Additionally, ensure the cable is properly waterproofed and lightning-protected.
For optimal performance, we recommend using the original power adapter and cord that came with the Tapo camera.

The data consumption for watching live video or uploadingclips to the cloud server depends on the camera resolutionand the duration of use. On average, the upload bandwidth for each camera should not exceed 5 Mbps. Apart from streaming video, camera's other activities like communication with the IOT cloud take up a little data.

The Tapo C220 needs to stay plugged in. It draws power from the power adapter, so it can stay on all week as long as it’s connected to an outlet. The “wireless” part only means the camera connects to your Wi‑Fi (2.4 GHz).

For camera live view, once the camera is set up in the Tapo app and connected to the internet, you can watch it for free (no extra cost).
For camera playback, there are two recording types:
1. Tapo Care Cloud Recordings: Each Tapo Camera offers a one-time 30-day free trial of Tapo Care (starts when enabled in the app), which provides 30-day cloud video history and advanced features.
