I am happy with the functionality this camera provides. You can remotely control it using the app, and the night vision is decent. The setup process is straightforward and easy. You can also add a memory card to store data locally.

The Tapo 2K indoor camera is excellent! The picture quality is very good, and the camera is easy to connect the Tapo app and your home WiFi. We also have the Tapo outside CCTV cameras and doorbell now, and they all work brilliantly together.

The Tapo C220 camera has built-in support for cloud storage (Tapo Care) and also, supports local SD card storage for video recording. However, if you do not use an SD card, the recording options are limited:
Recording Without an SD Card
Cloud Storage (Tapo Care Subscription Required)
Without an SD card, the Tapo C220 only records event-based clips (motion detection or AI-based events) if you subscribe to Tapo Care.
The free plan provides only real-time viewing, while the paid plan allows event recording for up to 30 days in the cloud.
No Continuous Recording Without an SD Card
The camera does not support continuous (24/7) recording without an SD card or NVR (Network Video Recorder).
If there is no Tapo Care subscription, the camera only provides live viewing, but no footage is saved.

Infrared cannot penetrate through glass, so when it is dark you wouldnt be able to see outside

It is not recommended to place the camera behind glass. If the camera is installed behind glass, infrared lights may cause reflection, resulting in blurry and unclear images, thereby hindering the timely detection of moving objects, especially in nighttime scenes.

Tapo C220 needs to be connected to 2.4G WiFi, and can also be connected to a mobile phone hotspot. However, if your phone is away from home and the camera is still at home, the camera will be offline.
