Not sure yet. Looks great, pours well, not drippy, blue light is attractive. The mix of matt black and stainless also looks good on the side. But, not quite as quiet as expected; about the same time to boil as previous kettle and like others have said, has a musty smell about it, which even after a couple of weeks hasn't disappeared, does taint the drinks slightly.

Fan of Russell Hobbs kettles over many years
Bought recently as a present but I have one too in another colour. Like that the water level feature is on either side as our household has left handed and right handed persons. Excellent pouring spout as no drips. On/off switch isn't flimsy which is a plus. Boils quickly and quietly. Live in v. hard water area so use filtered water for teas and coffees which I believe helps prolong kettle's life but kettle does have filter.

Nice design
Have had this kettle a few weeks, love the design it’s bit different to the usual (has a round base but four sided) looks nice on the work top along side other black appliances! Nice dark blue glow when boiling which is very quiet also and seems very quick too! Would highly recommend

Great kettle, good volume, ergonomic, stylish
After much deliberation, we went for this kettle, which is much smaller and slicker than expected, yet has great volume. It’s very ergonomic and comfortable to use, with a good spout. It’s got a flip open lid for convenience and markers inside to measure cups of tea. The side indicator for water level also works nice. It’s surprising how many manufactures get the basics wrong. It also boils fast and looks good. It’s also well made and does not look cheap like some other brands. All in all, a great buy at the 20% discount level.
