DELIVERY GR8: Arrived promptly and fully intact via excellent courier. PACKAGING GR8: Product box packaged within a cardboard and paper gummed tape sealant and with no plastic cap on the electric plug pins - so plastic has been greatly minimised! Well done! KETTLE ITSELF: Pricey but a gorgeous treat! Easy to fill, easy to see when there is sufficient water within .... and the sound and light show when the water is heating is cute! Good sturdy base on the kettle protects the glass when placing it down on any surface ... and the electric base, whilst larger than most, is good and sturdy. It was encouraging to read that this device has been engineered to make it safe for younger ones to use. Boils quickly and pours wonderfully. Very happy I decided to push the boat out! Thank you!

Beautiful Kettle - Frosted Glass Can Be Issue
I love this kettle and it’s expensive, but I had to exchange my first one withint the first two days as the frosted glass got marked and i have no idea how, i am a very careful person. First was what looked like grease mark (my kettle is nowhere near my gas hob, so no idea how that got there), so I cleaned as per instructions using a little washing up detergent on soft cloth on cool kettle, but kthe mark would not budge at all. Then there were two bits where the frosting chipped off - I have no idea how that happened. On contactiing Russell Hobbs they said to return it to Argos under 30 day guarantee and thankfully Argos exchanged it I love the kettle so much I decided to give it another go - so far this second one is much better. I love that I can control the temperature (especially for making coffee and certain teas) , and also this saves some electricity. I love the look of the kettle - looks fab. The on-off control sometimes has to be pressed twice sometimes three times, I have no idea why, but it doesn’t bother me that much.

Great Zen light
I bought the ‘Calm kettle’ three weeks ago wanting to add atmosphere to the kitchen. My experience is as follows. 1) The kettle allows you to select the temperature of the water which is handy if you’re not a fan of very hot beverages. 2) The light effect slowly fades in and out to different colours and this give off a modern cosy effect that glows particularly bright during the evening, the lights fade and change slowly so it’s not distracting or flashy. 3) The materials mostly appear quite natural and classy including thick frosted glass and engraved metals with an off white plastic handle and base with lit up analog touch controls. 5) Unfortunately I’m disappointed the 5 optional music tracks it comes with… the only good thing about them is you don’t have to play them… the music is an optional setting you’re likely not going to use as it’s less like a calming spa or Zen music sound and more like a tacky repeating ringtone jingle that sound coming from a 2001 flip phone stuck in a tin can…. which isn’t want you expect when you pay for a product when you can listen to good Zen music online for free. 6) I’ve noticed some small scratches in the metal point at the top where it’s come into contact with the tap during refills but not too noticeable. The product is a good idea and the quality appears strong including engraved metals and thick frosted glass but for £100 it should have been integrated with real Zen music and an option to chose different light effects and colour combinations rather than just the single preset which may include colours you’re not a fan of.
