[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect. This replaced an earlier model that lasted 2-3 years and is a much better upgrade. It feels sturdy and the added steam boost is a bonus. Effortlessly cleans floors and the additional pads it comes with are useful. It delivers consistent steam so you are confident that the floors are sanitised. It also has 3 settings but I think that is more to do with how fast the pads spin, I use it only on deep mode as I don’t see the point of the other settings. It’s the only way I clean Kardean floors throughout the house.

Excellent Product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Straight out of the box, easy to assemble and running in no time. I had a steam mop prior to this purchase but with 155 Sq M of tiles it took a long time and effort to clean the floors. The steam and scrub is effortless and cut cleaning time in half. Good weight to the head giving even pressure as you clean. I have no negatives to say about this, however, a set of pads with stiffer scrubbing bristles would penetrate further into the tile grout for heavy traffic areas such as boot rooms. Overall very please with build quality and functionality. Five stars all the way.

We can confirm that the pads can be washed and reused. We recommend machine-washing them without detergent, as it can leave streak marks on the floor when the pads are used.
You should use the dust pads first, then the cleaning pads.

Yes, on sealed tile floors the rotating pads and steam help loosen and lift dirt from grout lines. Use Deep mode and the Steam Blaster on stubborn spots, moving slowly with light downward pressure. Very caked grout may still need a grout brush for full restoration. Use only on sealed hard floors and avoid unglazed ceramic or unsealed surfaces; check your floor maker’s care guidance first.
Not recommended, the S8201UK is for sealed hard floors that can withstand high heat and only where the floor maker permits steam; Karndean advises against using steam mops on its floors.
The floors should not look streaky or spotty after using this unit. If they do, it’s probably because the steam mop is trying to remove the residue from the last cleaning solution that was applied to the floor.
No, only use distilled water on this model. DO NOT use any cleaning solutions, scented perfumes, oils, vinegar, or any other chemicals, as they may damage the unit or make it unsafe to use.
No, this device is specifically engineered to produce steam. However, you can control the speed of the rotating discs and choose the right amount of steam for every cleaning task: Light, Normal, or Deep, depending on your surface's needs.
