This steam mop is designed specifically for hard-floor surfaces. We do not recommend using it for carpets.
Since the Shark S8021UK is perfectly designated for all sealed hard floors, it is also compatible with porcelain tiles.
We can confirm that the pads can be washed and reused. We recommend machine-washing them without detergent, as it can leave streak marks on the floor when the pads are used.
You should use the dust pads first, then the cleaning pads.

Yes, on sealed tile floors the rotating pads and steam help loosen and lift dirt from grout lines. Use Deep mode and the Steam Blaster on stubborn spots, moving slowly with light downward pressure. Very caked grout may still need a grout brush for full restoration. Use only on sealed hard floors and avoid unglazed ceramic or unsealed surfaces; check your floor maker’s care guidance first.
Not recommended, the S8201UK is for sealed hard floors that can withstand high heat and only where the floor maker permits steam; Karndean advises against using steam mops on its floors.
The floors should not look streaky or spotty after using this unit. If they do, it’s probably because the steam mop is trying to remove the residue from the last cleaning solution that was applied to the floor.
