Great kettle with water level window on both sides
We bought a differnt kettle and took it back because it only had the water level window on one side. This kettle has the window on both sides, and is fine. It is certainly quieter than our original kettle and the blue light looks great!

we have used this make and model over several years and are now on number 3. Becouse it is the quiet model it is ideal for our use as our living room and kitchen are combined so no over the top noise when watching tv etc.. would purchase again as and when as long as it is produced.. cant recommend highly enough

The plastic water level indicator is held in place by friction. If you try to remove it gently, while the unit is cold, it will come away. It can also be put back in.

Having checked the manual I can see you will need to lower the filter into the kettle, and engage the bottom hook in the bottom of the spout. Press the top of the filter towards the kettle, to lock the hook in
place.
