We would not recommend using the gold cloth on gold plated jewellery as the cloth has an abrasive in it and this could over time wipe away the plating.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised: The gold polishing cloth will bring shine back to a gold bracelet, however depending on the bracelet and how heavily tarnished it is or if it has intricate links and is pure gold with no gems attached it might need dipping in the Jewel Sparkle 225ml as well.

We would recommend using a microfibre polishing cloth as this is a soft unimpregnated cloth

I would advise that this Town Talk Jewellery Polishing Cloth - Gold does not have an expiry date.
After cleaning jewellery with the Cloth it is recommended that you put the Cloth back in the wallet – this way it will last a long time.
After a lot of polishing with the Cloth it will appear very black and at this point it will be worn and time for a replacement.
There is no definitive answer as to how many times you will be able to use the Cloth before it gets to this point as it will obviously depend upon several factors e.g. how "dirty" the item is, the size of the jewellery you are cleaning etc.
