Excellent bit of kit to have!!
This is a fantastic bit of kit to have!! It does everything it says it does!! Loads of handy tools for different things, picked up loads of dog hair, and the suction was fantastic.. definitely got rid of those stubborn stains!! it’s small and compact but very strong. only reason for the 4 star is the chemicals that you use for the cleaning as one little bottle only did my large front room rug, and they’re not cheap to replace.

Suction poor. Stain removal poor. I was hoping that Shark would meet my expectations.Alas , so far that is not the case. I will give it a few more goes in the hope I can improve the situation.

Effective cleaner
So long as you use this properly (as instructed) it works really well. Personally I found the brushes a bit too harsh for my carpet but the other side (rubber patterned) works really well. The machine is certainly portable and easy to use so I can easily plug it in and use it when required

Disappointing
This product promises much but delivers on little. Regardless of the marketing it is essentially a wet vac with a spray button. The wet vac function is weak, carpet will not be merely damp but will remain wet after several passes. The machine does not reduce the effort required in cleaning a carpet or upholstery, scrubbing is still needed. There is no mechanical scrub function like you would find in an upright. I spent so long on my hands and knees scrubbing with this thing I may as well have used soapy water and a cloth, at least then I wouldn't have had the sound of it in my ear. On the cleaning effectiveness, make no mistake, it is the supplied solvents doing the heavy lifting not the device itself. This product is so disappointing it has made me wary of making any future Shark purchases, the one thing I can give Shark credit for here is the marketing department which really knocked it out of the park. Save yourself some money and get a cordless wet vac and some pet odour neutraliser spray

Unused chemicals can be stored in the tanks; however, for long-term storage, it is advisable to keep unused StainStriker in its original bottle. Storing it in the StainStriker tank while attached to the unit may lead to clogging or buildup within the machine. Additionally, any unused CarpetXpert Deep Clean Pet should be disposed of rather than stored in the CarpetXpert or any tank for prolonged periods of time or in extreme heat.
