Great nvme ssd and very reliable.
Got it for Sony Ps5 console. Very good hard drive. I I I was lucky and bought this for £139 becouse day after was for £183. Hard to find in stock iat Argos aswell. Never have a problem with it and after formating in Ps5 is exacly 2.08 Tb. Thanks you Argos ! Samsung is always the best company for me aswell.

Fast storage at a reasonable price
A nice speedy NVMe that allows my PC to boot in seconds and load large Unreal Engine projects without delay. Included heatsink is a nice bonus if your motherboard doesn't include one, but you will need a specialist driver to remove the heatsink if you want to. The contact between the heatsink and chips could be better.

From the information we have available, I can advise updating the firmware of the Samsung 990 PRO Heatsink 2TB SSD without using a PC is not possible. The firmware update process requires the use of Samsung Magician software, which is only available for PC
For PS5 users, this means you'll need to temporarily remove the SSD from the PS5 and connect it to a PC to perform the firmware update. Once the update is complete, you can reinstall the SSD back into the PS5.
