Works well on ps5
Doubled my storage space on my ps5,all you need is a screwdriver. Very easy to fit. There's plenty of tutorials online. Done in 5 minutes. Loading big games is slightly faster in my opinion since putting in this new ssd. No more deleting games to make room for new additions. Well worth the money, especially when on sale.

I can advise the following for the Samsung 990 PRO Heatsink 1TB SSD for PC & PS5:
Up to 7,450 / 6900 MB/s sequential read/write speed, the heatsink is able to be removed but thermals would likely degrees read and write speeds. This will also void the warranty.

From the information we have available, regarding the Samsung 990 PRO Heatsink 1TB SSD for PC & PS5 has a number of how to install videos on YouTube. After watching a few I can advise that you will need to remove the side panel cover, this will expose the fan and next to that there will be a small bolt to unscrew on a plate to expose the area to fit the M2 SSD.

I used a YouTube video to follow step for step but the install is not very difficult to do. The ps5 can format it without the need of a computer so it's plug and play!
You can play ps5 games from the SSD, in fact games run faster from it!

Since the Play Station 4 is not a Samsung product, they suggest that you to compare its specifications, with the ones of the SSD.
From the information we have available, we can only guarantee compatibility with a PS5. This is an m.2 SSD and it's not likely that it'd be directly compatible with a PS4. It might work perhaps with a 2.5" m.2 adapter but we cannot guarantee this and, if it does, the adaptor may affect the performance of the console and SSD.
