Thanks for your query about the Raymond TV Unit - Oak.
The size of the bottom shelf, between the two vertical support panels, is 98.2cm so your soundbar should be OK to fit in this. (Assuming that the soundbar is shorter than the height of the space, which is 18cm).

Yes, this unit must be secured to the wall as per the instructions which state: ''WARNING: To prevent possible overbalancing this unit must be secured to a wall using the 2 overbalance protector kits supplied.''
