This iron looks good—and that’s about it. I was very disappointed with it. I had a different Philips steam iron for 9 years and it was amazing. When it finally broke, I didn’t think much about replacing it and just bought this newer version. What a disappointment. It’s much weaker than my old one—it took me 25 minutes to iron a single pair of trousers, and even then the result wasn’t good. The steam is another issue. It comes out several seconds after pressing the button, and even then it’s quite weak. When you try to use the extra power button, water comes out instead, leaving your clothes wet. Overall, the whole ironing experience is very frustrating. After a few attempts, I started reading more about this model and realised that, despite being new, its specifications are much weaker than the older version. In the end, I returned it and bought a different Philips Elite iron, which is even better than my original one.

Steam generator iron review
It's doing good at the moment. Ask me again in 3 years to see if it is still working. Generally steam generator irons don't last longer than 3 years in our house despite using deionized water.

Travel it for a month. Useful few times. A bit different from my old one however works well. Like yhe amount steam it produces. Hopefully will last as long as a last one.

Very smart looking product. The steam power is excellent and really does iron ANY fabric without a temperature gauge. So far so good but I do live in a hard water area so time will tell if the calc clean is effective.
