As children differ so much in size for their age it is best to measure the child to see if they fit within the range that that the supplier has advised of being suitable for children between 100 and 150cm tall. “ Our Junior Maxi i-Size R129 can legally be used from 100cm/3.5 years minimum (child must have reached both of these milestones) with the vehicle’s 3-point seat belt, however, we recommend that children this young us a car seat with a five-point harness, rear facing where possible as this is the safest way for them to travel.
At 2 years old the pelvis is not mature enough to cope with the force, in the event of an accident using the vehicle’s 3-point seat belt.
Consideration should also be given to the fact that a 2-year-old is usually not sensible enough to sit in a high back booster seat properly and stay there for any duration of time. ”
