Versatile but maybe not durable
Versatile device, easy to clean and has a powerful motor. The plastic beaker and 2 blender/chopper vessels are thin, brittle and not very robust. Overall though, a very useful piece of equipment.

I bought this to replace a simple kitchen wandm which Ive used for 30 years, However I firstly investigated each fitting closely and sthought through how I would be required to use it. In summary, while the contents offered many possibilities, as a designer, I found the many connections required, gave more chance for something to become loose or even break, so I returned the product unused the next day. the performance is therefore incorrect, as I did not use it.

Really pleased with my purchase, it's got most things you need. But the blender with variable speed and up and chopping. Blended some peppers and tomatoes it made short work of the task and everything was blended perfectly no lumps.

I'm using it for grinding nuts mostly. Walnuts, cashews, hazelnuts, almonds... so far no problem.

There is a small container with its own blades that chop nuts very easily either yourself or quite finely: walnuts, almonds and hazel nuts already done by me. I am not sure it could chop rice into ground rice or flour. The instruction booklet does not mention that this is a possibility. However, I carried out an experiment this morning using 30 gsm pudding rice. I managed to get a coarse ground meal but not a uniform powder. Not sure if any home machines could do what you want. You may need to do some more research. As ground rice and rice flour are available in store you may have to continue being them.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Braun MQ7045X MultiQuick 7 Hand Blender - Black: ''The shaft of this model is metal. You must NOT blend hot soup in your pan as this can cause splashes which could cause safety issues. Soup etc must be cooled to room temperature before blending.''

The actual blender end is stainless steel. It fits into a plastic fitting in the motor. Just to say I bought this to replace a blender with a plastic fitting that I used for 17 years before the motor died. As long as the soup or other liquid is disallowed to cool and is not boiling a plastic blender will still work well. From a safety point of view blending any boiling liquid risks scalds.
