Does the job
Bought this item for doing small jobs around the house as getting a bit older for climbing up and down step ladders. The work platform is very stable and robust and sturdy in build. Easy to store away due to its compact size when folded. My wife now uses this platform for hanging curtains, cleaning wall cupboards etc. Perfect for small jobs around the house and garden and much lighter and movable than ladders. The platform provides a good sturdy and safe platform to work from.

I bought the decorator platform about a month ago and am so pleased would recommend it for any DIY work or professional decorators. A lot easier than using a step ladder. Also the price was very competitive.

Brilliant work platform
This work platform is excellent. Unlike my old one it is very stable and 'wobble' free. It is easy to open and lock securely in place for use and just as easy to pack away for storage. I certainly recommend this. Even better due to the very good price at Argos!

Safe, lightweight, portable, stable work platform
This is the second work platform I have purchased. I like the fact that this one is longer. The ball catch to lock the legs is safer than a hook catch. It's well made, easy to use, lightweight, portable, stable and easy to store due to the fold up legs.

If using the Werner Handy Aluminium Work Platform outside, it is important to ensure for safety reasons that there is a stable surface to work on. As we cannot ensure this, the recommendation would be not to use for hedge cutting.

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for Werner Handy Aluminium Work Platform.
The maximum height is 0.5m (1ft 8"). I think the confusion may be due to some of the information on our website being incorrect (extended height provided when the product does not extend).

The supplier has advised the following for the Werner Handy Aluminium Work Platform:
The supplier advises that the platform shall not be positioned on slippery surfaces such as ice, shiny surfaces (as you’d expect in most baths), or significantly contaminated surfaces, unless additional effective measures are taken to prevent the platform slipping and/or ensuring contaminated surfaces are sufficiently clean. They recommend this product to be used on solid flat ground.
So, technically, it might be possible to use it as long as suitable safety measures are taken. If there's something that can go in the bath that does not slip and prevents the item slipping this may help. This is subject to the bath being of a suitable shape and size, able to support the weight of the user and the platform. You'd also need to consider the risk of damage to the bath too.
It would also be at the user’s own risk were they to use it in a bath, even if safety measures are taken.

Yes but on a towel to stop scratches in the bath. I use mine for mounting my horse as well as decorating!

"The aluminium won't rust, however there are some steel parts on this product that will rust if exposed to the elements."
