A smashing little stick blender. My last one was the same brand and lasted YEARS. This one is better as it has a more powerful wattage motor and the end is removable which makes for easier cleaning. And I got a little goblet thing with it too. Very pleased and it makes short work of soups etc.

Yes the blender can be used for hot soup, however, please be aware that blending ingredients could cause hot splashes, which you'd need to pay attention to. We'd always advise cooling to room temperature before blending.
