About this product
Leyland Walls and Ceilings Matt Emulsion is a low odour, water based paint for interior walls and ceilings. The contemporary matt finish is ideal for helping disguise uneven surfaces and can be used on new plaster. Under normal conditions, a second coat can be applied after 2-4 hours. Leyland Walls & Ceilings Matt Emulsion will cover up to 13 square metres per litre depending on the nature and porosity of the surface. Strong or contrasting colours may require additional coats.

ok for ceilings
I bought this paint to do ceilings and covings mostly, and it is fine for the job. However, if you were planning on buying this paint to do walls or cover any colour up, then give it a miss. It freshened up the already white ceilings, but when i tried to paint a wall the coverage was really a waste of effort.

Not worth the time!!
Bought a few week ago from Argos. Great quick service from them but unfortunately the paint is like water. I’d like to say it was worth the cheap offer I got it for but it’s not. Need a million coats it really isn’t worth the time.

Hello,
Our supplier has advised that the Leyland Wall & Ceiling Matt Paint - Brilliant White - 10L can be applied to bare plaster.
'However, we advise sticking to one product and not using secondary products as mist coats. Its unnecessary and brings a level of uncertainty to the overall dry film thickness of the coating.
We advise following thinning instructions which are included on the rear of the tin.'

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Leyland Wall & Ceiling Matt Paint 10L - White: Any paint can be mist coated , it would depend what you want a mist coat for .
If dried new plaster yes this paint can be mist coated.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Leyland Wall & Ceiling Matt Paint 10L - White: As with most projects most work would require a minimum 2 coat application, however if there’s a wide colour change additional coats may be required, as in this case green to white may simply require extra layers to fully hide the darker existing.
As for adding water this can be undertaken also for absorbent and porous surfaces the thinning amount is generally detailed on the instructions as all paints will require differing amounts.

The Leyland Wall Matt Emulsion Paint 10L - White is water based paint for interior walls and ceilings.
For exterior walls, you would need a masonry paint.

Not good for it, I used it in bathroom and it literally wiped off and you have to put many layers on not great paint

I would advise a more durable finish for kitchens and bathrooms. Cooking spills in the kitchen are common and moisture levels in a bathroom are a lot higher than any other room and do occasionally need wiping down.
