About this product
Meet the Philips Series 7000 Steam Iron, your powerful partner for tackling stubborn creases without sweat. This high-powered iron heats quickly and delivers steady continuous steam that cuts through everyday fabrics with ease. For tough wrinkles, the steam boost penetrates deep into fibres to leave everything perfectly pressed. The SteamGlide Plus soleplate glides smoothly across cottons, linens and delicates while resisting scratches for long-lasting performance, and the generous water tank means less refilling and more ironing.
The drip-stop system keeps your garments spotless without water marks, while the Quick Calc Release feature makes maintenance simple so your iron delivers consistent steam over time. The vertical steam function freshens curtains or hanging garments without taking them down, and variable steam settings give you control over different fabrics. It's comfortable to handle with a good length power cord offering decent reach across your ironing board. With a manufacturer's guarantee included, this iron is built to handle your pressing needs for the long haul.

Ideal iron
Great iron. Glides well over materials. Easy to use. I’ve bought similar Phillips iron about 10 years ago if not longer. Lasts well. Great price offer through Argos. RRP £65. Offer price £45. Very pleased.

Performs as well as the first similar iron.
Performs as well as the first similar iron that we purchased about 2-3 years ago at a better price. It is a shame that they did not include a water filling vessel this time.

Disappointing lead length
Bought to replace similar model we’d had for years Still good iron but the lead is very short and I need to use an extension lead sometimes. Nearly returned it but needed an iron

Short lead, poor results
Unhappy having bought a premium price iron as the lead is too short and results are quite poor.

Water leaking when ironing please don't buy
From day one this iron has unfortunately been a big disappointment as it leaks water everywhere when I use it so I had to return it. I hope the next iron is better.

Great steam iron
Great steam iron. At first I thought it was a little heavy but soon got used to the weight and clothes were pressed quickly and effectively. The only thing I didn’t like was the position of the dial…. not easy to see when adjusting. Good price with reduction from original price.

Impressive
Brought and tried a few times. Nice weight and smooth ironing. Controls are easy to use, only thing I feel could be improved are the instructions. But I would definitely recommend.

Hello Carol,
Philips DST7020 Azur Steam Iron
The time it takes to use a tank of water varies depending on the fabric, temperature chosen and how much steam you need to iron each item. It automatically switches itself off after 8 minutes of not being used. It doesn't have a clip for the cable.
Thanks for using Q&A
Hi Andie
The Steamglide Plus soleplate is made of cermet and glass ceramics. It has an advanced titanium layer and 6 layer coating that delivers ultimate gliding performance over any fabric. The soleplate is not made entirely of ceramic, but only covered with ceramic enamel. It can be made of steel or aluminum. The material used in the production of coatings is glass ceramics or metal ceramics, which gives the sole lightness and the iron as a whole - the freedom of movement and smooth glide. The basis here is alloyed steel, because it is less susceptible to mechanical damage.
Hope this helps. Thanks for using Q&A.
