Designed by people who don’t do the ironing
I bought this to replace the same model that I’d had for years, that was an excellent iron but sadly broke. The new version is made from lighter weight plastic that is presumably cheaper to produce, and it drips when it’s on full steam, it only works well in eco mode at lower temperature. The most annoying change is the cord is much shorter than the previous model, making it very awkward to use in my home. I have to stand right next to the plug socket and it’s not comfortable. I won’t buy another iron from Philips, they are obviously cutting costs but not thinking about their customers.

Great performance, but some cost-cutting evident
Excellent performance. Glides well, water lasts well on Eco setting. Presses well but isn't too heavy. Easy to see the water level inside the tank. Limescale filter is key for us as we live in a hard water area. The only downsides are that the flex isn't as long as the ten year old Philips Azur model it replaces, and it doesn't come with a small plastic canister to fill the tank.

Unfortunately the ron was far too heavy for me and I have replaced it with another lighter Phillips model.

Philips DST7020 Azur Steam Iron
The time it takes to use a tank of water varies depending on the fabric, temperature chosen and how much steam you need to iron each item. It automatically switches itself off after 8 minutes of not being used. It doesn't have a clip for the cable.
