Doesn't last, gears worn out very quickly. Also the cap on the bottle fell apart. This would be the last Breville product I purchase.

Perfect Protein Shakes
Really pleased with this blender for my daily protein & collagen shakes, it mixes the powder well, leaving no lumps. I needed one with a min 600ml capacity and most of the others were 400-500ml so this one is perfect. Love the bottles as they are water tight and do not leak, easy to use, even with my arthritic hands. LOVE IT!

Dissapointed.
I previously owned an earlier model of the Blend Active. It broke (might have been as simple as the rubber gear wore out, which I now know are available as spares.) However, I was very happy with it, so I bought another one. I was disappointed as the design of the bottles had changed, mainly the flip cap for drinking. The hinge was much flimsier, and both of mine have broken. And the thread pitch is different, so the nice and substantial cap from my old bottle won't fit. The old cap also have a more pronounced click when snapping shut, so I had confidence it wouldn't pop open, unlike the new design. I couldn't find fault with the old design.

This is great for making drinks / smoothies for on the go. The cups have a large capacity. The blender crushes up frozen food, ice etc with no problems. Very handy gadget to have. It's light and can easily be moved around. Love it.

I am now on my second warranty replacement, with each unit lasting only 6 months. They've both had the same issue, which is the rubber grips that drive the blade are plastic, and have sheared off. This has happened despite using the latest blender extremely cautiously: always pre-chopping hard items, de-frosting frozen fruit, gently pulsing a few times before holding the button in to blend. It's extremely frustrating to have to pre-chop/de-frost everything that's going into A BLENDER. I owned an older model "BlendActiv" from circa 2015 to 2023 and it blended everything - ice, frozen items, nuts - with zero issues. I am so thoroughly disappointed at the latest model, which apparently cannot even handle a piece of frozen mango. The information on the website about the Blend Active's capabilities is blantantly wrong. It does NONE of these things.
