I bought this blend active to replace my old one. Who in their right mind would have the unlock in the same direction as the screw off lid . Mine jammed so on trying to get it to detach from the base it was unscrewing the lid so all my smoothie ended up going everywhere. I'm very unhappy with this new edition.

Don't waste your money
This is not even a year old and it has broken . This is also the 2nd one I have bought that has done this although the first one was through another retailer . It is not up to the job in my opinion obviously the motor cannot cope with the description of use .

Fell apart within a year
I've used the previous model and that one lasted years until it fell apart. The replacement, the latest model didn't last a year. The moving parts to the blender blade broke and the content of the bottle ends up leaking everywhere before I turn it on, and when I do the blade doesn't rotate. I'm not happy and I can't buy a replacement one either from the looks of it. Judging from the reviews this is a huge design flaw in the latest model, as many customers are impacted.

Bought this as Christmas present. It comes with 2 plastic bottles which means you can have 2 different smoothies on the go. Bought a Breville blender years ago and I'm still using it, so hopefully this will also last for years. Just the right height for my metal straw to sip with.

It is a hold-to-activate machine. The blade will spin as long as you press the button. Please remember we recommend the maximum of 30 seconds in one go!

Frozen ice and fruit soon broke the blade assembly on my machine.
The rubber notches on the bottom are not strong enough to cope when frozen fruit jams the blades, so they snap off.
So mine only lasted 6 months.
I am struggling to get a new part, so now it is useless.

The VBL246 is designed to blend soft and frozen fruits, and it can handle small quantities of crushed ice or small ice cubes as part of a smoothie mixture. However, it is not intended for crushing large ice cubes on their own, as this may place excess strain on the motor and potentially lead to damage over time.

Hi Rasharoon, if the vegetables are finely chopped, the VBL246 can definitely handle sweet potatoes, kale, butternut squash, and similar veggies to make a smoothie, just like it does with fruits.
