Brilliant machine
Having bought this as a present for my son thinking it would have little use, it has turned out to be his best present. He uses it two or three times a day. He makes smoothies from fresh fruit , with ice. The machine is so easy to use, and clean, it crushes ice easily , make great drinks. Would recommend *****

Replacement for original blender lasted one month
I bought the Pink Breville blender and immediately it smelt of burning when used, this was returned to the store and I bought the green blender. This has lasted precisely one month and all the rubber gears disintegrated when using to make a simple smoothie. This blender does not handle daily use or frozen berries, it claims to do so but thisos not the case. I do not recommend this and have now gone to Ninja.

It is a hold-to-activate machine. The blade will spin as long as you press the button. Please remember we recommend the maximum of 30 seconds in one go!

The rubber notches on the bottom are not strong enough to cope when frozen fruit jams the blades, so they snap off.
So mine only lasted 6 months.
I am struggling to get a new part, so now it is useless.

The VBL246 is designed to blend soft and frozen fruits, and it can handle small quantities of crushed ice or small ice cubes as part of a smoothie mixture. However, it is not intended for crushing large ice cubes on their own, as this may place excess strain on the motor and potentially lead to damage over time.

Hi Rasharoon, if the vegetables are finely chopped, the VBL246 can definitely handle sweet potatoes, kale, butternut squash, and similar veggies to make a smoothie, just like it does with fruits.
