Not fit for purpose described
Unfortunately, had two of these and it broke after a couple of uses. The block that spins ground out the plastic that slots into it from the cup that sits, and made the unit unworkable. After the second one broke, we ended up purchasing a ninja instead.

Fantastic blender, small but mighty. I use it to make smoothies using frozen fruit and it manages very easily in seconds. Comes complete with two bottles so you can store in fridge. It’s compact and takes up very little space in the cupboard

Rubbish blenders
This is the fourth blender I have bought in a year ! They are total rubbish but have bought an extra warranty !

Breville Blend Active VBL246 can handle soaked nuts when blended with enough liquid, but it’s not suitable for dry or hard nuts. It’s designed mainly for smoothies and softer ingredients, so for heavy nut blending you may need a more powerful appliance.

It is a hold-to-activate machine. The blade will spin as long as you press the button. Please remember we recommend the maximum of 30 seconds in one go!

Indeed, it is powerful enough to blend frozen fruits. We recommend using some liquid to protect the blade component, though.

Frozen ice and fruit soon broke the blade assembly on my machine.
The rubber notches on the bottom are not strong enough to cope when frozen fruit jams the blades, so they snap off.
So mine only lasted 6 months.
I am struggling to get a new part, so now it is useless.

The VBL246 is designed to blend soft and frozen fruits, and it can handle small quantities of crushed ice or small ice cubes as part of a smoothie mixture. However, it is not intended for crushing large ice cubes on their own, as this may place excess strain on the motor and potentially lead to damage over time.

Hi Rasharoon, if the vegetables are finely chopped, the VBL246 can definitely handle sweet potatoes, kale, butternut squash, and similar veggies to make a smoothie, just like it does with fruits.
