Hello, from the information we have available, the differences between this 1st generation Apple Pencil (2022) differs from the USB-C version in that: The 1st gen is longer, heavier, and has a wider diameter. The 1st gen charges via a Lightning port, whereas the USB-C version charges via a USB-C port. The USB-C version magnetically attaches, so it doesn’t accidentally pull out as easily. The USB-C version doesn’t have pressure sensitivity. The USB-C version supports Apple Pencil hover (allowing you to quickly preview and switch between different tools and controls in supported Apps). This allows you to preview a drawing tool before it makes a mark on the canvas. You can also sketch, write, and make adjustments with greater precision.
