Excellent replacement mattress
Purchased a new 2000 spring latex mattress to replace one 10 years old. Purchased with 20% discount, so bought for a good price. We've slept on it for a couple of weeks we are very pleased.

Comfortable medium-soft mattress
Purchased to replace a Rest Assured medium-firm 1400 springs latex mattress, which was fourteen years old. This mattress is very comfortable but I would say it is more of a medium-soft than a medium. Having said that it is comfortable and I do feel well supported, but I would have preferred a slightly more firmer feel. My only concern is it appears to be dipping slightly in the middle already after a month of a single person sleeping on it. I will give it another month as I may have to return it if it dips any deeper. Added to this when the mattress was unpacked it had a strong chemical musty smell, which dominated the bedroom. Which took over two weeks to subside. Lastly Argos delivery was brilliant and the delivery team were very helpful in taking this to the bedroom as this mattress is very heavy.

I bought this mattress two years ago and can confirm that it is very soft. I will need to buy a firmer mattress as it is terrible for my back.

Without details of your ottoman bed I am unable to confirm if there is a mattress weight restriction however, if you purchased with Argos you can check by using our product support page in the link below: Just enter the catalogue number to download the instruction manual.

I have checked some of our Ottoman beds and they do not give any weight restrictions but do advised to only open the storage once the mattress is in place. Failure to do so may result in injury.
On this basis then this Silentnight 2000 Latex Pillowtop Mattress - King Size will be suitable

I am a side sleeper and bought this mattress 4 months ago based on reviews. Unfortunately I am unable to leave a review now as my time has expired. It definitely feels very comfortable whilst lying on my side, but every morning I wake up with back pain. I can only wonder if the mattress I received was a used mattress, as there was a slight scuff mark on it and I now see that there is a dip in the middle. Even if it was new, I am not convinced that this was a good purchase for a side sleeper.
