The Garmin dezl 610 brings proper lorry-specific navigation to a 6inch touchscreen that's built for HGVs and larger vehicles. It figures out routes based on your lorry's size and weight, so you're not ending up on narrow lanes or low bridges. The lorry routing takes your vehicle's profile into account, though road signs are still worth watching as not every restriction can be flagged. Aerial views of loading docks and lorry entrances help you plan arrivals at unfamiliar depots without circling around looking for the right gate.
Pre-loaded maps cover 44 European countries including the UK and Ireland, with lifetime updates and traffic alerts via the dezl app. Lane guidance keeps you in position ahead of junctions, and voice control lets you adjust routes hands-free. Points of interest show nearby petrol stations, restaurants and rest stops. The eco route option suggests fuel-efficient navigation. Bluetooth hands-free calling lets you answer without reaching for your phone. It includes a windscreen suction mount, car charger, and USB cable. Battery life is about 1 hour unplugged.

Not for HGV
This product doesn't know postcodes; it wants street names and house numbers (it's easy in the UK). It wants to send me under a low bridge and a weight-restricted road, in the first week! It's totally unsuitable for HGV

Good clear nav
Had it three weeks and it's clear, easy to use, and voice command is much better than my last one. It doesn't have a camera but it picks up all the necessary weight/height/width limit for me so far. Programmable dimensions. Has the odd minor block on accessible roads and makes you run around occasionally. The connector cable is also better than my old one which was always coming loose.

I’m driving a class 1 hgv this has worked amazing. Never sent me down a route I can’t go. Unfortunately for me I received a returned item and I paid full price even though items where missing from the package that was charging cable and window mount.

A memory card can be used to store points of interest, expanding the map and also updating the device.
It is not needed but can be of great use.

As it's not intended for this function, we'd have to advise against it. The supplier says this: "This device is designed to function as a truck satnav not for a coach so I would be unable to advise on the functionality with a coach".

Hi Cal,
MT-S is shorthand for Maps & Traffic - Smartphone. This means that the product has lifetime updates for it's pre-loaded maps rolled in to the base price, as well as a subscription to live traffic data, which it procures via Bluetooth connection to the Garmin Dezl Smartphone App. These features have largely stopped being included in the model name of these automotive products, as it has become increasingly standardised on the more modern releases and as such not something that requires differentiation.
