We were surprised at how good it is . It cuts through our hedge with ease and the battery lasts long enough to complete the job? (we have a a fair size hedge). It's a good weight and easy to handle.

Great, but could have been better.
I would have given this a 5, apart from the power lead keeps detaching. I think it's a great hedge trimmer, but the lead becomes so annoying when using it. I understand that it's a safety thing, and it's great that you can store it separately. I'm looking at ways on how to keep the lead attached. Apart from the power lead issue, the trimmer itself is great, and tackles my hedge well.

What a mistake I made. It snags because ofittle saw on one of blades. Instead of using in a downward motion I have to use upwards, not easy. Can I return it having used it with difficulty?

There is a retainer on the trimmer, please see below, but it is quite fiddly to put the cable through. It is mentioned in the manual but it is listed as an ”extension cord”.

Attaching extension cord to trimmer (fig. C) A cord retainer (7) is incorporated into the rear of the switch handle (6). u Near the end of the extension cord, fold the extension cord to create a loop.
You Feed the loop into the cord retainer housing 11 as shown in Fig. C. Hook the loop onto the cord retainer 7 so it rests in the cord retainer. Plug the extension cord into the unit. ”

The standard full length blade cuts up to 25mm but at the tip is a small saw type blade that cuts up to 35mm. The previous answer of 16mm is incorrect and is for a smaller model.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Black + Decker 60cm Corded Hedge Trimmer - 600W: Th manual states not to use the strimmer on any stems greater than 16mm.
