Great Hedge Trimmer for the price
Cut 25m × 2m high Hornbeam hedge with relative ease. Little saw section at the end, is a gimmick, in my opinion. Overall weight of 2.8kg is bonus. A lot of more expensive high end brands are very weighty. Only need trimmer a couple of times a year, so excellent price point makes this a perfect choice. My old Black & Decker was 20yrs old.

Just alright.
I tried this today for the first time in a medium size hedge. It cut okay. Struggled on thicker stems. The main issue is the rubbish plastic bag as a blade cover. I can’t believe an £80 hedge trimmer doesn’t come with a plastic sheath for the blades. Very poor package.

Very similar to the one I bought 26yrs ago & has now ground to a screeching halt but I think a little heavier. Does the job just as well & in the manner I choose ie. using a ladder so I can see the top to create a neat result as one area is a Leylandii 6ft across & 9ft high. This one may last me out, I'm 83!!

There is a retainer on the trimmer, please see below, but it is quite fiddly to put the cable through. It is mentioned in the manual but it is listed as an ”extension cord”.

“ As per the manual,
Attaching extension cord to trimmer (fig. C) A cord retainer (7) is incorporated into the rear of the switch handle (6). u Near the end of the extension cord, fold the extension cord to create a loop.
You Feed the loop into the cord retainer housing 11 as shown in Fig. C. Hook the loop onto the cord retainer 7 so it rests in the cord retainer. Plug the extension cord into the unit. ”

The standard full length blade cuts up to 25mm but at the tip is a small saw type blade that cuts up to 35mm. The previous answer of 16mm is incorrect and is for a smaller model.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Black + Decker 60cm Corded Hedge Trimmer - 600W: Th manual states not to use the strimmer on any stems greater than 16mm.
