Must be more careful when selecting my purchase.
I bought this because the filler cap on my present one had broken. Followed the instructions to prepare the filter and found I had crystal clear nice tasting water. Great. Problem was The new filter was not the same as the old one. Almost identical and as I had just purchased 6 months supply of filters for the old one I decided to repair the broken lid and look forward to running out of the old filters.

Simple water filter
This is a simple water filter with no gimmicks. Plug in the filter, have two quick runs through of water and then it is good to go. Comes with two additional filters too (150 cycles each)

Great Purchase!
We had a top brand Water Filter Jug but you had to physically remove the lid each time you wanted to fill it. The lid used to fall off and water went everywhere. This one is great in that it is very easy to fill and the lid is held on securely. I highly recommend it.

They cannot be put in general recycling.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised Aqua Optima Liscia Water Filter Jug - White:
Our filters are designed to be used with potable/drinking water and as such water with sand in would not be classed as potable. The filter does have mesh to help reduce small particle but this would become blocked if it had larger amounts put through it.
