Bought this gate because I was worried about tripping over one with a floor bar. Although you have to screw it in to the wall, it looks so much better and I know it's safe and won't budge! My little one loves to rattle the gate!

You would need to take the mounting brackets into consideration, however, depending on the width of the wheelchair, there should still be enough space. it should be about 68cm (height), 112cm (length). It has no bar across the floor, it opens from the wall like a gate.
