Amazed by the ease of use.
Used to a conventional steam iron and a steel soul leaving marks on light coloured articles. Thought I’d try something new, and I have upto now being amazed by the ease of use and fantastic results. The only reason I have not given five stars is that I am still getting used to it.

Fab iron!
I was sceptical about buying this iron due to the negative reviews but I’m very pleased I did! Yes it doesn’t hold the heat for long but that is how the cordless feature works, you have to replace the iron on the charger rather than on the ironing board stand when you move the item around. By the time you’ve moved the item that you’re ironing, the iron is hot enough again. I stood the charger at the end of the ironing board so it was easy to pop in there for a few seconds. Having no lead is a game changer for me & well worth having to slightly change the way I’ve ironed before. It’s light to use & the sole plate glides easily over fabrics. I don’t have an issue with dripping water, I assume you’d have to change the steam & heat settings if this is happening.

Great purchase
Bought this iron to replace my old one, it’s the first cordless one I’ve had and so nice to use, it heats up quickly, glides smoothly, really light to handle. I would recommend this as a great product and quality is great

We are unsure of your reference to the Kates one.
The Soleplate is ceramic coated on this product. The only reason you would burn material with this iron is you have not set the correct temperature for the type of material being ironed
