I dony know why a set of simple instructions could not have been put in and the web link did not work properly. However this is what you do. Remove the plastic tag from the winder and then set the jhands to the correct time by turning thee winder. You then push the winder in and it sets the clock working. I also removed the plastic protection cover on the back of the watch. I think to get a new battery you will need to take it to a watch repair shop. Good luck
