About this product
The Miele Blizzard CX1 is a bagless cylinder vacuum that tackles every floor type, from carpets and rugs to hard floors and laminate, plus upholstery and curtains. It uses multi-cyclonic vortex technology with 890 watts of cleaning power, and comes with an EcoTeQ floorhead that adjusts between surfaces. It's got a good solid feel, and the power cord gives you plenty of reach before you need to switch sockets. The automatic foot-operated rewind keeps things tidy, and the hose stretches for high shelves and corners.
The dustbin is one of the larger ones on a cylinder, so you won't empty it after every room, and an indicator shows when it's full. The bagless design means no ongoing replacement costs and is more hygienic to empty. You get a full set of tools including crevice nozzle, upholstery nozzle, dusting brush, combination floor nozzle, plus telescopic extension tubes that adjust to your height. It runs at around 88 decibels, typical for a powerful cylinder vacuum. The EcoTeQ floorhead works across all floor types and keeps energy use efficient.

Cumbersome
Great suction but I find the brush head gets up pet hair only to move it into clumps and deposit elsewhere. It's also very heavy to pull around and carry up & down stairs.

The most powerful vacuum cleaner I've ever had.
You can adjust the power on this vacuum, which is a good job as on full power it basically sucks your carpet right off the floor! It certainly does the job. The only downside is that the head is very hard to move on carpet on full power. But you don't need full power, half power is good enough. Its a lot less noisy than my old Dyson and very well engineered.

Disappointed
We replaced our Miele cat and dog with the blizzard. It's MUCH heavier, and it didn't pick up larger bits of cotton etc. We returned it to the workshop, but it was no better. We had to spend an extra £80 for a turbo foot which did improve things. It's knocked my faith in Miele.

I am not at all happy with this. It picks up fur etc.,when hoovering using brush going forward but when you go backwards it spread the debris back over the carpet. I am continually having to adjust the suction.
