The high-quality mini-keyboard is inherited from the Yamaha reface series, highly regarded by professionals for its outstanding touch, feel, and expressive power. The included USB power cable lets you plug into a computer, or to an AC outlet when batteries aren't available. Please use a USB mobile battery that has a low-current mode function and can supply power to devices that have a current consumption of 40 mA or less.
It runs on four AA batteries or a USB mobile battery making it easy to take on road trips, backyard BBQs or even the recording studio.

A great little unit for the price.
I bought this as a surprise 8th birthday present for my grandson, it's not his birthday yet so can't give a full review but having bought one for myself a few months earlier I can say how impressed I've been with the keyboard. It's light, easily switches from one sound mode to another and, although I'm not a piano player can manage to make a few interesting sounds for my own amusement. A great purchase for a bargain price.

This is a great little keyboard, even though in the end I decided I needed one with 49 keys. It sounds great and connected via midi with no issues.

If a USB-A MacBook Air then yes, if it's a USB-C MacBook Air then you will need an adapter to convert the USB-C to an A or use a Micro USB to USB-C cable with the keyboard.
