Selling old, substandard stock
Ordered two single mattresses for home delivery. Neither expanded to full depth. Got both replaced, only one expanded. Was then told out of stock for replacement for home delivery and told to take the mattress to local Argos store for replacement. Call centre confirmed there was stock but there wasn’t. Had to go back the next day and drag the mattress through a car park and shopping centre. Turns out Argos were offloading old stock that had been in storage for a year (dates are printed on the outside of the packaging). These mattresses shouldn’t be compressed for that length of time. Beware and check the date on the box - longer than three months and you’re likely to get a substandard mattress! Will never order an item like this from Argos again.

Expanded quickly and is comfortable. Does leave a chemical smell from the expanding process but that dissipates after a couple of days

Supportive mattress with soft top. No noise when turning in bed and good for a side sleeper. We returned the Emma Hybrid and the original is far superior

This is new stock and not refurbished. In terms of the vacuum pack question, this isn't tested nor will be. They can stay packed till they need to be opening. It's the same if you vacuum pack clothes for storage.
