I bought this slightly concerned, as previous reviews suggested difficulty in connecting to the wi fi, but it connected straight away, even works behind an appliance, great will purchase more i would highly recommend.

Unusual use. Very helpful device.
I have a spare external doorbell / camera which is set up behind our house to survey the garden. Great for night-time security but triggered many times per day as my wife and I go in and out of the house. With this Smart Plug, I can time the camera to switch off from dawn to dusk, with the options of time offsets. This is perfect. We can now enter or leave the house or move about the garden in the day without constant detections. Then, with the camera powered back on, it is active through the night. Very easy to set up and so many timing options. Fantastic addition to our home security.

I used this WiFi controlled mains plug to control my electric trains. It works perfectly and is reasonably priced.

Great product
I had been using a normal plug in time switch that was always awkward to reach in order to adjust the time settings. I decided to try this little Tapo one not expecting too much from it, however it was simple to pair with my router and very easy to programme through the app. It works fine and now I will replace my other plug in timers with Tapo smart plugs.

Excellent smart plug
We already own a Tapo doorbell camera (also excellent) and this smart plug is similarly great. Incredibly easy to instal via the Tapo app; in fact, I'm not quite sure how some of the other reviewers reported finding it so difficult. From the app, you can schedule when you'd like the plug to turn on and off as well as manually operating it. If we need another smart plug in future, we will definitely be getting one of these!

Excellent Timer
Brilliant little gadget. I wanted a timer for my living room lamp to replace my current one which was broke. This is much better as you set all the times via your app and can change the times to suit your needs. Very easy to connect to the Wi-Fi.

Useful and simple to set up
These are great little plugs. Easy to use and reliable. I’ve set them up to turn lights on and off, but with many useful settings eg random switching on and off, they can be used for holidays and day to day control. Straightforward link to the WiFi and on the same app as my video doorbell.

Hi,
Tapo and Kasa are two distinct smart home brands under TP-Link, each with its own app for device management. Manage Tapo Devices in Kasa App: Most Tapo devices aren't compatible with the Kasa app, except for the Tapo temperature & humidity sensors (like Tapo T310/T315) and Tapo contact sensor (like Tapo T110). So Tapo P105 cannot work with kasa app.

Typically, the product will work fine in the country where you buy it. It's not recommended to purchase products and use them in different countries because there will always be slight differences in the products due to different standards in each country. Additionally, TP-Link does not implement a global warranty.

When the plug is on, this will consume power from the device/s that is connected to it. Assuming you mean when there is nothing connected to it and the plug is switched off within itself and not at the socket that it's not connected too, then it does still use a low level amount of power to allow it to still be connected to the internet and controlled from the app.

I can confirm that Yes, the Tapo P105 Mini Smart Plug can be safely used in an extension lead, as long as:
The total power draw of the devices plugged into the extension lead does not exceed 1800W (which is the rated capacity of the P105).

Tapo smart plugs do not support the looping switch function, such as "turning on for 10 mins and then off for 1 min". or an Auto-reboot schedule every day.
